Along with a number of other individuals, groups and businesses SAFE lobbied for improvements to the accessibility of Hillside station.
In April 2019 it was announced that Hillside was to be one of the 73 stations to benefit from the Access for All programme and would receive a share of £300M extra funding to provide the station with step free access.
